Dr. Maie Alshahid is a Consultant in Non-Invasive Adult Cardiology at the Heart Center of King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center, Riyadh, Saudi-Arabia, working primarily in echocardiography. She graduated from King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi-Arabia, became an MRCP (UK) member in 1985, and was elected as FRCP (Edin) member in July 1996. She was a Research Fellow in echocardiography at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota in 1990-1991. She was the Director of the Non-Invasive Cardiology Lab at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center from 2000-2007. She is a member of several cardiac / echocardiographic societies, including The American Society of Echocardiography, The International Society of Cardiovascular Ultrasound (ISCU), and is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology, European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging, The Saudi Heart Association, and is an International Member of ACC. She is an author / co-author of 70 papers, of 2 book chapters, and was an invited speaker > 180 national and international meetings.
Her interests include application of echocardiography in valve disease, heart disease in pregnancy, and training in echocardiography.
Dr Atallah is the Cardiovascular Senior Pharmacotherapy Specialist at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. He is a clinical associate professor at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic he was on faculty as Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) in Riyadh.
Dr. Atallah received his PharmD from Bernard J. Dunn School of Pharmacy in Virginia and completed an ASHP accredited post graduate residency at Winchester Medical Center in Virginia. He was awarded the “Graduate of the Last Decade” award by his alma mater. Dr. Atallah is board certified in pharmacotherapy with added qualifications in Cardiology. He also holds an advanced antithrombotic management certificate from ASHP. Dr Atallah is a fellow of the Heart Failure Society of America (HFSA) and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP). He has several publications and presentations at national and international conferences. He was awarded the 2021 ACCP Cardiology PRN international award. His research interests are in various aspects of cardiovascular pharmacotherapy with focus on antithrombotic therapy, heart failure and hyperlipidemia.
Javed Butler, MD, MPH, MBA, is the President of the Baylor Scott and White Research Institute and Senior Vice President for the Baylor Scott and White Health in Dallas, Texas. He currently holds the Maxwell A. and Gayle H. Clampitt Endowed Chair for research. He is also the Distinguished Professor of Medicine at University of Mississippi in Jackson, Mississippi. Prior to joining Baylor Scott and White Health, he served as the Patrick H. Lehan Chair in Cardiovascular Research, and Professor and Chairman of the Department of Medicine at the University of Mississippi, where he was also Professor of Physiology. Prior to joining the University of Mississippi, he was Charles A. Gargano Professor and Director of the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine and Co-Director of the Heart Institute at Stony Brook University, New York. He had served as the director for heart failure research at Emory University and director of the heart and heart-lung transplant programs at Vanderbilt University prior to that.
He received his medical degree from the Aga Khan University and then completed residency training at Yale University, cardiology fellowship and advanced heart failure and transplant fellowships at Vanderbilt University, and cardiac imaging fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital at the Harvard Medical School. He has completed Master of Public Health degree from Harvard University and Master of Business Administration from Emory University.
Dr. Butler is board certified in cardiovascular medicine and advanced heart failure and transplant medicine. His research interests focus on clinical trials in patients with heart failure. He serves on several national committees for the American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association, National Institutes of Health, and the Heart Failure Society of America. He is the recipient of the Simon Dack Award by the American College of Cardiology as well as the Time, Feeling, and Focus Award by the American Heart Association.
Dr. Butler has authored more than 1100 peer-reviewed publications. He serves on the editorial board of several peer reviewed cardiovascular journals. He has been cited numerous times in America’s Best Doctors list.

Dr. Diego Delgado graduated in Medicine from the Universidad del Salvador in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He completed his Internal Medicine and Cardiology training in Hospital Espanol in Buenos Aires. Subsequently he completeda research fellowship in cardiac transplantation at Rush Presbyterian St Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, US. He completed a research/clinical fellowship in heart failure and transplantation at the Toronto General Hospital.
Dr. Delgado completed his Maters of Science in Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Toronto and the Leadership Develpment Program at Rotman School of Management in Toronto.
Dr. Delgado holds the Reuben and Florence Fenwick Family Chair in the Medical Management of Heart Failure. Dr. Delgado is a transplant cardiologist, member of the Heart Failure, Transplantation and Mechanical Assist Device Program at University Health Network.
Currently, Dr Delgado is Associate Professor in the Division of Cardiology and Cardiac Transplantation at the University Health Network. Dr Delgado is the Medical Director of the Inpatient Cardiology Service in the Division of Cardiology at the Toronto General Hospital. He is also de Site Director for the Division of Cardiology.
Dr. Delgado is the President of the Interamerican Society of Cardiology and past Chair of the Canadian Cardiac Transplant Group.
He is the author of more than 100 publications in the area of heart failure, transplantation and mechanical assist devices. His interests are immunologic aspects of heart failure and transplantation and cardio oncology.

Hani M. Sabbour is currently Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and also former Internal Medicine Residency Program Director at Al Ain Hospital, Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. He served as Director of Cardiac Arrhythmia and Electrophysiology at Landmark Medical Center in Rhode Island USA from 2003 until 2012. Since January 2013, he has held an academic appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor Cardiovascular Disease at Warren Alpert School of Medicine, Brown University. He established a comprehensive Pulmonary Hypertension Center and PH registry at SKMC as well as leading the SEHA PH guideline writing team to complete the SEHA clinical practice guidelines in PAH.
Dr Sabbour received his medical training at the Faculty of Medicine, Kuwait University, culminating in a medical doctorate in 1994 and awarded His Highness the Emir's Gold Medal with First Class Honors. He completed residencies at Kuwait Institute for Medical Specializations and SUNY Stony Brook – East Meadow Campus in 1995 and 1998, respectively. He was also Clinical and Research Fellow in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Massachusetts General Hospital – Harvard Medical School, where he received ABIM Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Certification in 2003. He is ABIM certified in Internal medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Cardiac Electrophysiology, Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant, ECHO and Nuclear Cardiology.
Dr Sabbour has been involved in multiple clinical trials; his extensive research on cardiovascular diseases has been published in a number of multi-center clinical trials and publications. His clinical interests include integrated device therapy and CHF, correlative cardiac imaging, nuclear cardiology, arrhythmia management particularly atrial fibrillationd, management of valvular heart disease, drug monitoring and management program and particularly Pulmonary Hypertension Dr. Sabbour is currently a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Heart Rhythm zSociety and the American College of Physicians, and Egyptian American Medical Association.
